Let’s Encrypt delivering free SSL/TLS certificates by Q2 2015

This could possibly be a game changer, or even a big disruption in the internet security space. Let's Encrypt a certificate authority backed by the Internet Security Research Group (ISRG) is announcing the delivery of free SSL/TLS certificates by Q2 2015 (update: September 2015).

Free certificates will be a great way for small businesses or projects to get the precious HTTPS prefix in their site URL without having to spend their not less precious money. But it could be also a great opportunity for bigger organizations and projects as well depending on the traction the service will get. We saw somewhere that Google ranks have been systematically affected by the addition to a website of an SSL certificate for a while now, which makes this initiative even more necessary.

We are undeniably excited to be among the first ones to provide our customers with free SSL certificates.

Stay tuned, we'll let you know more as we get some updates.
